Raeford Road Panera Bread nears opening date

“Coming soon to your Neighborhood” reads a sign placed in front of the new Panera Bread going up off Raeford Road. That’s at the former location of Primo Pizza & Italian Eatery.

The pizzeria ended its two-decade-plus run in early May when owner John Geraffo sold the property to a group of clients in West Virginia.

Cecil Wilson, the job site superintendent for Frontier Building, said Friday that the turnover date is set for Sept. 17.

“As long as I get no delays,” he said, “I’m going to meet that schedule.”Wilson said the grand opening for Panera Bread at 2810 Raeford Road is planned for Sept. 21.
